FRIDAY AND ITS ALMOST CHRISTMAS

I'm sitting at work waiting for the phone to ring. Everyone wants to go home early, and it's to be expected ya know. After all its the Friday before Christmas. Me included. I'm bored and I have about a hundred presents to wrap or throw into gift bags to give to my family and friends. I'm tired already. I did most of my shopping online, but I'm still waiting for a few more to straggle in. If they don't show up by tomorrow I'll have to run back out. Saturday we have to go to my sons house and Christmas eve to my sisters. Monday is the big Christmas morning surprise for the little one when Santa's presents are opened and the rs more trash laying around than can be stuffed into a giant garbage bag. I can't wait. I'm hoping I can take a few moments for myself and just think about the reason we celebrate. Not all the hoohaa, but the birth of Our Lord and Savior Jesus. As I sit here and complain I need to remember that Joseph and Mary were traveling hundreds of miles to Bethlehem, and it was a long road until they came to the place of Jesus' birth. The manger was actually a cave filled with old hay and animals, and not much protection from the cold night, was all they had. I'm lucky I am sitting in an office and on a comfy chair at my desk. Its not terribly cold today and Im glad that I'm going home to my little family soon. God Bless every one and Merry Christmas!!!!
